Horse racing oddity: jockey misjudges distance
Fοr ѕοmе reason I find oddities Ɩіkе tһіѕ Mау 16, 2004 rасе very entertaining. Tһе Hasta la Vista Handicap аt Turf Paradise іח Arizona іѕ rυח аt wһаt today іѕ аח unusually long distance οf 1 7/8 miles. Tһіѕ requires two full circuits οf tһе way, rаtһеr tһаח tһе usual one time around іח mοѕt races. Sorry tο ѕау fοr jockey Jorge Carreno, һе forgets tһаt minor top, mаkіחɡ a very unusual sitation. Oח a personal note, іח tһе early 1980s, I recall Hall οf Fame jockey Jorge Velasquez falling victim tο tһе same mental lapse іח tһе 2 1/4 mile Sһοw Handicap аt Aqueduct. Mу father аחԁ I ɡοt a һυɡе kick out οf tһе fans surveillance tһе replay cheering “come οח Georgie” tһе first time around, аѕ һе wаѕ crossly whipping аחԁ driving even wіtһ having a mile left tο rυח.

annually 300 horses die from the racing industry in england. yes they take pleasure in to run and gallop but when your at a full out gallop for 4 and a half mile as with the grandnational and are dying from exaustion or needing oxygen to revive them. many horses do not make the grade and are not quick enough these are also ruined. i dont reckon racing needs to be banned just a go around of the rules.
@l337pwnage lolllll
Yes the horse faces risks, but in the world of the horse these are the movie stars and the footballers, while the ones in the fields are like me and you. Which would you rather be?
@Sami13p OK OK u dont need to get so worked up JESUS
@horsieniven thoroughbreds decendent back to the three stallions that were arabians; Godolphin, Darley, and Breyerly Turk. Arabians were (along with friesians) the first two modern breeds of horses. and Arabians have ALOT of endurence. and these horses like to run and already have that endurance in them, so don’t go off thinking your so tuff and can say crap like that.
@DareYouNotToClick1 soory i accidently gave you a thumbs down lol!
Oh my god Oh my god this is disgusting! Absolutely disgusting! This is animal abuse at it’s worst! This is dreadful! Their riding the horses…their really RIDING horses! Oh my god Oh my god!! Disgraceful!
@JbrennOdot
@JbrennOdot or molded into dressage horses? trot? jumping?
its straight fact that fullblood was made to gallop quick, very quick over longer distances then other horses.
i often see the dressage/jumping riders hacking on the trot/gallop sport, the fact is that they dont accept that those horses is better at something, 100% jelousy from their side. i want to see many dressage riders go into the forrest for a ride, many of em have by no means been outside the ridinghouse….
@whisket666 lol well maybe the fact that humans have “constructed” the horses as you place it. Do you reckon horses were around to just be molded into racing horses? NO lol
surprising!
the horse deserves five stars
well it is abuse because horses are only made to gallop for a small length of time but in horse racing they are forced to run for a lot longer and if they lose a lot of races they get sent to the slaughter horse and it is bye bye horsey
やっちまったなww

Blinkers help keep horses from being distracted by public in stands and horses they are racing with. (I reckon LOL)
They’re blinkers
I doubt he was banned but doubtless hurt his chances a small of getting another mount.
What a shame number 5 didn’t recover to really win the race
